Adult PSYCHIATRY 

Dr. Saphier provides empathic comprehensive care  to patients of all ages, with specialized expertise in the areas of Mood disorders , ADHD and substance abuse.  

Reproductive Psychiatry

Dr. Saphier treats the mental health needs of women throughout all stages of childbearing. His services include: Preconception planning, medication evaluation and management for peripartum and postpartum women, and  supportive psychotherapy to eases the stresses associated with infertility and pregnancy loss. 

Child/Adolescent Psychiatry 

In regards to his child and adolescent practice, Dr Saphier is skilled at diagnosing and treating various neurodevelopmental disorders including ADHD, behaviors related to autism spectrum disorder as well as mood and anxiety disorders. Dr. Saphier recognizes the important role of family and school in the lives of his young patients. Therefore he works closely with parents and schools to ensure proper diagnosis and treatment planning for each individual child. 

Forensic Evaluations

Dr Saphier is a board certified forensic psychiatrist who currently serves as forensic coordinator at Gracie Square Hospital- New York Presbyterian, in New York City. Dr. Saphier has worked extensively throughout the New York and New Jersey providing specialized forensic services for individuals and agencies such as the Administration for child services (ACS).
